I started playing softball when I was 4 years old. At the age of 10, I played on a small travel team that enhanced my love for the game. I am now a starting catcher for Arkansas Pride Elite Stewart 16u. We are a class A team out of Gentry, Arkansas. I've been apart of the team for the last 3 years. I play middle infield as well as any position in the outfield.
As a young girl, I set a goal for myself to be a starting player on my high school's varsity softball team as a freshman. I was told by several people that this would never happen because I haven't paid my dues. That statement fueled my fire and determination to become good enough and prove them wrong. I can proudly say that this goal has been accomplished!
I believe I am a good teammate because I pick up my team when we are down. I try to make sure everyone is on the same page on the field and in the dugout. I never get down on myself or anyone else for negative plays, I try to give them encouraging thoughts and any up building advice that I can.
I want to move forward to the next level because I know there's a lot of great coaches who can enhance my ability to play the game I love and give me the opportunity to pursue my dreams within the medical field, such as Nursing and Dentistry.
