My collegiate goals are to get my Doctorate in Chiropractic and play college softball.
"Throw your heart over the fence, and the ball will go with it," is my favorite quote from Norman Vincent Peale. This quote means that if you put your whole heart into something then you will achieve it. This quote also describes me as a person; when I have a goal or even a small task at hand, I put my whole heart into it to make sure that I have done the task to the best of my ability.
What makes me different from all the other recruits is that I have a passion. My passion is not just a love, but it is my motivation. I have been playing this sport for almost ten years. I started playing when I was five-years-old, and the moment I stepped onto that dirt covered field, I fell in love. I remember the anticipation from when I went to the store to get everything for my first game with my dad, the thrill of my first hit, the adrenalin of my first play. All of this excitement made it clear that this was what I wanted to do, that this was my passion. I work on softball seven days a week, every week, and to be honest, I wish there were ten days a week so I could work even harder.
That's one thing I'm most proud of; my work ethic. I will work harder than any other girl on that field to improve my skills, to earn your respect, and to prove myself to you as a player. My work ethic also goes for my academics. I work more diligently than most in school. In the beginning of my academic career, I knew that I loved school. The advancement of my education means so much to me that I very rarely miss any days. I have a drive for school that pushes me to be the best student I can be. I am persistent in my growth in the two greatest loves of my life; softball and education.
