Kaitlyn Rizo '19 Recruiting Profile

I first fell in love with softball as a toddler watching my brother play little league, once old enough I played with the boys league which I truly believe helped strengthen both my love for the sport but also sharpen my knowledge and skills.  I played allstars every year since age 8 and have been recruited for travel teams.  Where my first love is catching I am able to play a multitude of positions and am always looking for a way to better my skills and knowledge.  I strive to attend college to further my education and hopefully continue to play the sport that I love.  I am a team player and never think about just my own success.  I want my team to be successful and I feel I am an instrumental part of our teams success both on and off the field.  Younger players often look to me for advice and training.  I look forward to see where my love of this sport and my skill leads me as well as my desire to receive a good education.  I was recently named to 1st Team All-League and 2nd Team All-State for my 2017-2018 season.  I was also named MVP of my team and broke 5 school records this season for:  On Base Percentage (589), Home Runs (5), Runs (40), Doubles (17),  and RBI's (45) in a single season.  I also received my 3rd Varsity Softball Letter
