Ever since I was little, I've sat in front of the Tv and watched the girls play the game. I remember specifically, when I was eight years old, watching the Florida Gators and saying to myself " thats going to be me". Ever since then I have spent the past eight years spending anytime I had getting better and better. My Freshmen year of high school, my team had made it to the playoffs. We ended up losing in the quarter final game and we were all devastated. Going into my Sophomore year I told myself that I was going to do whatever it took to help my team be better and go further the following season. I never Missed a winter workout that was two times a week, I never missed hitting practice, along with everything that my club team had going on for winter training. I was able to have good time management with school, along with keeping my grades up, and being the best player that I could all year long. That season, my attendance was perfect and I never missed a practice or team dinner and made sure that I was known on the team. I would spend hours outside of practices hitting, and taking reps until I felt like I got better. In the end it all paid off because my team ended up in the championship game the following season. That year taught me a lot about what commitment, and what work ethic can get you. If you have a goal, work until you get it. I believe that that is was stands me out from other athletes and what will make me a good fit for any college team. I will continue to strive to be the best player on the field, along with being the best student in the classroom, making sure that I reach my goals. I will continue with the work ethic that I have on and off the field which will allow me to accomplish my goals, and I believe that I am the best fit for any college team.
