Personal Statement
My name is Anna Grottola, and I am a senior at Connetquot High School. I have been playing softball for 8 years with the Chiefs organization. Currently, I play for Chiefs Fastpitch Select. We play at an 18U level at showcases and tournaments in the Northeast. I have also been a part of the varsity softball team in my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. In school, I am just as focused on my work as I am on the field. I am enrolled in all honors/AP classes for my core subjects. I have a cumulative average of 96.7, and a weighted average of 100.53. As of February 2019, I am ranked at 12 in a graduating class of 495 students.
Outside of softball, I have an insurmountable passion for music. I am a part of the Long Island Voices, Jazz Element (Vice President), the Concert Choir (Female Representative), and the musicals at Connetquot High School. In this year's musical, I had the honor of playing Belle in our production of Beauty and the Beast. I am also the secretary of the Tri M Music Honor Society. In college, I aspire to major in Music Education and become a choir teacher. I also play many other instruments such as the piano, guitar, ukulele, and the violin.
Currently, I am committed to study Music Education at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. I will also be playing softball there.
