My name is Sophia Monti, I attend Mount Saint Charles Academy; a Division I High School in Woonsocket, RI. I serve as starting Outfielder and Midfielder while maintaining my status as an Honors Student. My travel team is the New England Phoenix, a premier college showcase, Fastpitch Softball organization with a winning reputation and high grade of integrity I graduate in 2017 and my ambition is to play Division III Softball while pursuing my degree in Physical Therapy. I have two goals for my college career to which I will give my all. They are to excel in academics and play softball with a team as passionate as I am for the sport. My desire is to give back to this great sport that has given me so much. I've founded Softball4Sluggers, a non-profit organization that serves North America and the developing countries of Nicaragua, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Africa. Yes. AP Language and Composition focuses on non-fiction reading to teach rhetorical and linguistic strategies that writers, including British writers, use in non-literary as well as literary formats. This course will involve various modes of formal writing - persuasive essays, narratives, editorials, speeches, the research paper - as well as personal informal writing, such as college application essays and dialectic journals. Students will do timed essays using SAT and AP English writing prompts, including the AP “synthesis essay.” Pre-requisites: all honors/AP classes have grade requirements and need department approval.Registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center?
