My name is Aubrey Jones and I am currently enrolled at Nazarene Christian Academy (NCA). It has always been my dream not just to get to college but graduate and go on to be a leader in my community. I have been blessed to play Softball, Volleyball and Basketball at NCA while also receiving a top notch education. While softball is a game, it is also an investment in my future and the future of the university/college which I will be lucky to represent as a student athlete.
What makes me a good candidate for their team? Softball is definitely a team sport. My passion for my teammates, coaches, and school help me understand how important each and every player is on the team. I have always considered myself a leader, which is partly why I believe my Coaches have selected me to be the starting pitcher the last two years in the State Championship Game. Ultimately, I know a team is much stronger when the team works together and I am excited about becoming a part of a college/university team.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics? I would have to say I don't believe any two recruits are the same. What makes me different is my ability to be honest, regardless if I do something right or if I make a mistake. I know I have to work harder than most when it come to academics or athletics, so those who are coming up behind me can see what it takes to be successful. I am the type of player my team can rely on and they feed off of because they know when it comes to a tough game, I want the ball.
In the end I would love the opportunity to prove myself over the next year as they type of student athlete you would not just be proud to recruit but someday call an alumni. I have just completed my SAT test and will be posting my score as soon as I receive them. Academically I have worked hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA at the college preparatory school (NCA) I attend while also setting myself up for success by taking dual enrollment classes at Tarrant County Community College.
I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you might have. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and I look forward to the opportunity of becoming the next student athlete of your softball program and college/university.
