Baylie Savage '25 Recruiting Profile

One of the hardest obstacles I've ever had to face is myself. For the longest time I was too hard on myself on and off the field, it caused so many negative outlooks and missed opportunities for myself as a young athlete.  While other people like my teammates, coaches, friends, and parents believed in me; my perfectionism made me feel as though if I wasn't playing like a professional as a fourth grader I wasn't good enough. However, as I've gotten older and have had many strikeouts and errors later I finally did realize that having such a negative outlook was holding me down more than pushing me further. My whole life had suddenly changed, academically and athletically I began to excel and challenge myself in a more positive way. After pushing through that for so many years, I'm finally ready to take a productive approach by playing at the collegiate level and succeeding in all areas of university.
