When I was five years old I fell in love with baseball. I started out as the only girl on my tee-ball team and worked my way up from there until softball became an option. Growing up softball was a way to relieve stress and have a fun escape from everyday problems. It allowed me to clear my mind and just play to play. Softball has developed my character in ways that nothing else could have; it has taught me how to be patient, a true leader, and a role model for younger girls to look up to. My hope is to be able to regenerate my little league and bring softball back into the community after I finish college, so that young girls can find themselves through softball the way I have.
Softball also revealed my competitive nature and my desire to win. Playing three sports in high school has let me voice my competitive nature and allowed me to be a leader on the field/court/pool. I'm not only competitive on the field, but also in the classroom. My ultimate goal in high school is to finish in the top thirty of my graduating class. After graduating, I would love the opportunity to compete at the next level, athletically and academically. I want to attend a college that can push me in both areas, making me the best student-athlete I can be.
