Emma Hirshorn '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches! 

            My name is Emma Hirshorn. I am a Junior at Glacier Peak High School competing on Washington Ladyhawks 18U Gold (Fairbairn). This year I have a 4.0 GPA while taking AP Physics, AP Calculus AB and AP Language and Composition, overall, I have a 3.91 unweighted GPA. I intend to take several more AP classes next year. In college, I would like to major in an engineering related field, but I am eager to explore my options in high school. I plan to attend a 4-year, academically selective school that provides me with the opportunity to continue playing the sport I adore competitively.

              I am serious, respectful and competitive, I am a little shy at first, but when I warm up, I love to take on leadership roles in all aspects of my life. Throughout my time playing softball, I support my teammates by keeping high energy and a focused mindset when facing challenges in tournaments, games, and practices. During my freshman high school softball season, I earned a varsity letter and my teammates voted me the 'Most Valued Teammate' and during my Sophmore year I received another varsity letter, was selected "Most Inspirational Teammate".

              In Fall of 2023, my team traveled many times to California where competed against high level competition. I pitched 56.2 total innings with 41 strikeouts. I also had a 3.48 ERA with only 9 walks. This January, at the Arizona Blast tournament in Mesa Arizona, I only pitched 4 innings, allowing no hits, no walks, no runs, and 3 strike outs, 2 of which against D1 commited players.
