I started 10U travel ball at eight years old and will never forget my first at-bat. I stood in the box, watched three fastballs go right down the middle, and quietly went back to the dugout. However, as a result of the rest of that season and countless games/experiences as a league, travel, and varsity high school player, I have developed into a skilled, confident, and passionate ballplayer with a desire to play college softball while pursuing a physical therapy degree.
I am an experienced RHP with four pitches (fastball, change, rise, drop/curve), but I also take great pride in my ability to play corner infield and outfield. There is no doubt playing multiple positions has made me a better pitcher. I am able to see the game from different perspectives while better understanding defensive positioning and strategy. Offensively, I am a disciplined contact hitter with some pop and “sneaky” speed on the basepaths. While playing softball, I’ve been exposed to many different styles of coaching/play, but I’ve always been able to adapt and lead by example. I truly love the game of softball and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead for me.
Academically, I am a self-motivated student who takes challenging and relevant classes. My teachers would say I am respectful, personable, and inquisitive with the ability to think for myself. I just started my junior year, and I look forward to what lies ahead for me.
I’ve worked several seasonal jobs such as an ice cream scooper and a hardware store clerk. I recently completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and began working at a senior/assisted living facility. In my free time, I enjoy Crossfit, listening to music, kayaking/jet skiing, and attending high school games with my friends. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I appreciate it and hope to meet you in person.
