I am a passionate player with many goals. I do believe that my future in athletics and academics is very bright. My number one priority is academics. I strive for the best that I can produce in all classes. Giving one hundred and fifty percent of myself in my studies is what makes me stand out compared to the other recruits. Time management is important and is a skill that I have mastered throughout the years as I am in sports all year-round. Volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and softball in the spring and summer.
My second priority is my one love, softball. Not only do I give one hundred and fifty percent of myself in the classroom, but that same drive carries over on the field. I do pride myself in being an infectious player on the field and off. My energy seems to travel to other players as well as causing the overall intensity to increase. Talking and communicating on the field are some things that I do regularly. Winning or losing, I stay positive and never stop talking. The same as every other player, I have good and bad days but what sets me apart is how I let those days effect me. Capitalizing on good days and using the disappointment of bad days to push me to be better is what makes me different. I have been told by numerous coaches that I am very coachable. I want to get better and I strive to preform as well as I can everyday. Using their advice and corrections will only work in my benefit. I will work hard every single day to improve my game and elevate the others around me, encouraging them as well to become better. Also, I believe that softball is a team sport and everyone works together.
Loving this sport as much as I do, gives me a lot of determination and passion. If I could do one thing for the rest of my life, it would be softball. No questions asked. I'm sure a lot of girls write this on their personal statements too, but they may not feel as strongly about it as I do. I love softball. I love everything about it. No one will ever have as much passion for this game as I do. Thank you for your time.
