Ava Anderson '25 Recruiting Profile

I've always dreamed of playing college softball and was raised to believe that if I put enough effort into my goal, I could obtain it. For multiple years, I've worked diligently on my technique for hitting, fielding, and catching. Another one of my priorities has been to maintain a high standard for my GPA because I've always had dreams that required a higher education. 

My academic goal has changed slightly throughout my high school career. As of now, I am considering different fields in the medical world. I feel that I would thrive in a fast-paced work environment as I don't like to stay idle for too long. To keep myself engaged in school, I am taking multiple advanced placement classes this year and heavily participating in our school's marching/concert band. These classes are helping me with my time management and my leadership skills. 

I took these skills that I have learned in the classroom, and the diamond, and have combined them into a well-rounded skill set that has helped prepare me for bigger things such as college and any career path of my choice. 

Lastly, what sets me apart from other softball players is the off-season work I put in. I participate in multiple clinics a year, visit a training facility a couple of times a week, and lift and run before-school programs multiple times a week. Most of my free time is put into softball, whether it be training, school ball, or travel ball. I am also unafraid of critique. I am open to trying new techniques of hitting or throwing to find what best works for me.
