As an athlete, we struggle to find time to care for our mental health while we are working to maintain physical health/strength, during the beginning of my basketball journey I spent a lot of time trying to better the physical health I left mental health in the rearview. It took me a while to find someone who could help me through those battles, this is why I plan to go to a college that will better me in my future career as a sports psychologist so I can help kids battling similar challenges while continuing to do the sport that I love.
In basketball, I have never been the star player on any of my teams but I always work my hardest to be a star in my role that will benefit teammates and coaches. I am very coachable, push my teammates to be the best player they can be, and I work hard to reach my goals and the expectations my coaches have for me. I guess you could say I am the Scottie Pippen to someone's Micheal Jordan.
