My name is Jolene Robinson and I am a Freshman at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California. I have been playing competitive basketball since I was 10 years old. I have dual citizenship (American & Canadian). I am a multi-discipline athlete, in addition to basketball I have been playing volleyball for 7 years, track for 8 years and 10 years of box lacrosse playing for 3 consecutive years on the Provincial (State Team) Team – winning 2 silver and 1 gold medal at nationals. I also played on the Varsity tennis team this year. Volunteering in my community has also been very important to me such as the “Special Olympics” men's and women's hockey tournament since 2011 as well as volunteering with elementary aged students in a community basketball program called “Rock Basketball” since 2011. In high school I was a part of the "Mentoring Program" where I mentored grade 8 students who were new to the high school experience. My goal is to attend a school that offers quality education as well as a competitive women's basketball program.
