Hi, my name is Kaylin Kent. I am a part of the graduating class of 2025 at Belmont Charter High School. I believe that coaches are looking for motivated scholars with skill, great academics, goals, and leadership abilities. For this reason, I believe that I am a direct image of what a recruitable basketball athlete would look like. Each day I become even more dedicated to work harder not only to achieve my goals but to push forward to make myself and everyone who has ever stood by my side proud. As I think about my collegiate goals, I continuously think about my commitment to achieving and driving myself to work for the things I want. Some of my collegiate goals would be to commit to college, earn a scholarship, win the national and state championship, get drafted by the WNBA, receive D1, D2, and D3 offers, win MVP in the public league, gain recognition in and out of the community to make change in life, and so much more. I also want to explore the medical field of being a Pediatrician. I have already been in programs that taught me a thing or two about the medical field and I liked it. I have created a work ethic for myself where I can work on my efficiency in different skill sets and categories on and off the court. Over time I have built up great leadership skills, developed teamwork, gained stamina, expanded my basketball IQ, pushed through each year as a honor roll student, and created a foundation for myself that many people can look up to. On that note, I want to state that I was the valedictorian of my 8th grade graduated class and moving into high school I am determined to keep that positive mindset and spread it amongst others. I want to be on a team that not only can I call my teammates, but I can call them my family. My team and I will be able to build each other up and work together to accomplish similar goals and dreams. We will put in the work everyday to prove to everyone that basketball is more than just a sport, it becomes a lifestyle that you learn to love for life. Not only am I a hard worker on the court, but off the court I am already working hard to achieve my goals with confidence and the drive to push forward. Thank you for your time!
