My name is Emily McLatchey and I am in the 2021 graduating class in the International Baccalaureate Program at Winter Park High School in central Florida. I have a 4.8 weighted GPA, a member of the National Honors Society, and three year honor roll student. I have worked very hard to balance my passion for golf and rigorous school schedule.
The highlight of my high school career thus far is representing my school at the Florida 3A State Tournament three years in a row. My team and I advanced together my freshman and sophomore years. This past year I moved forward as an individual and represented my team and school in the state championship. Being the captain of the girl’s golf program these past few years has taught me many valuable lessons and has allowed me to recognize the ability I have to help lead a team.
Aside from high school golf, I have competed in numerous AJGA and FSGA tournaments playing against some of the best competition in the country. I have been involved with tournament golf for many years now and understand the importance of hard work, dedication, and integrity. I am looking for a college that will allow me to pursue my athletic and academic goals. I know I have the talent to compete at the collegiate level, with the character and commitment to make a positive impact on your program.
