Margaret Min '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi I am Margaret Min, but everyone calls me Maggie. I am 17 years old and a junior at Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii. I am currently on the girl's varsity team and have been on that team since my freshman year. Last year, I ranked 3rd in my conference and made the 1st All-Conference team. That was also the year I became one of the starters for my high school team. I think that what made me stand out from the other players was (and is) my love for golf. I love going out on the course and trying new shots and techniques. I'll golf in the rain, in the heat, in the dark, at 6 am in the morning, anytime, anywhere. I am very academically competitive, which gets stressful and golf is like my sanctuary. This is why I would like to play college golf. I can't imagine life without golf and I would be so happy to be able to continue playing tournaments even after I graduate from high school and am no longer eligible to play junior golf. I am looking for a school on the East Coast preferably in the New England area or a school in California. I am open to all types of schools in those areas. My family is pretty financially stable right now, but college tuition will be much more expensive than my current high school tuition, so I may need financial aid. I am very interested in medicine, so I am looking for a school with a strong science program. My goal is to play college golf competitively and also receive a high quality education in the science field.
