Hello, my name is Bailie Krause! I am currently a sophomore at Illini Central High School. I began playing golf at the age of eight. I started my competitive golf career in middle school. My eighth grade year, I qualified for the State Tournament. Not only did I qualify for state in middle school, I did the same my sophomore year of high school. Outside of high school golf, I play in Prep Tour events, as well as the Hurricane Tour.
In High School golf, I play on the boys team. Being on the boys team, it means longer yardages than women's tournament. Even though it's longer, I still manage to consistently place top 10.
Outside of golf, my top priority is performing academically well. I have maintained a 4.0 throughout high school. I received high honors all throughout my two years of high school as well as perfect attendance. I always continue to strive to be at the top of the class rank. Just this year, I was elected Class President. I am honored to hold this position and always strive to lead my classmates to success. I am also active in Student Council, Science Club, Spanish Club, and also hold a position as FFA Officer. By being in these organizations, it teaches me leadership and teamwork which is also very important in the world of golf.
In my off season of golf, I continue growing my game through specialized golf training. This helps me build the proper muscle necessary for striving in the game of golf physically. This helps me make sure I am accomplishing something in the off season to help me in the upcoming season.
As my love for golf has grown throughout the past nine years, I knew I wanted to continue my golf career through college. I will always continue to work towards my future with golf. After spending hours on the course everyday, I knew college golf was something meant for me. I can't wait to watch my game improve and find the right college fit for me! Thank you.
