I am 16 years old and a sophomore at Kaiserslautern High School in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I am US citizen and my father works as a US Federal Employee here in Germany. I started playing golf when I was 7 years old. When I turned 12 my father took me to an LPGA Tournament in Williamsburg, Virginia. I got to follow several golfers during the tournament and was intrigued at how a few of them were able to navigate through difficult and challenging shots on the course. After the tournament I got to meet and take pictures with the top 4 finishers. I had so much fun watching the ladies play and I knew that it was something that I wanted to do as well. As my father and I walked back to the car I said to him, "Papi I want to play golf like this." He said, "you want to play what?" I said, "I want to play golf like these ladies." He said, "well if you are serious it's going to take a lot of work and dedication. Are you sure you really want to play golf professionally?" I said, "yes."
Since that talk 4 years ago I've spent many hours working with a coach and working on my own to get better. I've learned to enjoy the game more and more because when I play I'm able to escape into my own little world.
My goals are simple, I want to play golf in college and professionally. I'm a humble kid, an excellent student and a great team player. What separates me from others is my relentless internal drive to be the best at everything I do. Click the link for my swing video...https://youtu.be/XCFiaMEb3qY
