At a young age, I was introduced to golf through the City Parks Foundation summer program to learn to play in the local park's baseball fields. My coaches were adamant about teaching us proper golf etiquette while making it fun so everyone felt good leaving class even though they may not have been able to make contact with the ball. I thank all the coaches who had taken in an inexperienced player and allowed me to work through the levels of The First Tee and City Parks Junior Golf Center into playing competitively at my high school Varsity Girls and Coed Golf Teams. This summer, I came to a full circle where I became a City Parks Summer Golf Instructor! It was a rich and rewarding experience teaching kids from ages 6 – 17, sharing my love of golf with them, and hoping to inspire them to continue to play.
I am a golfer who has honed my golf skills with my Tae Kwon Do background. I'm driven, adaptable, and curious to always look for ways to improve my game and succeed in my school work. I have also volunteered to be a Standard Bearer Ambassador in tournaments and learned how the pros handled their emotions gracefully to persevere through the game. I enjoy playing golf and am open to any opportunities to join a college golf team, whether in a division, club, or intramural level!
