Golf has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember. From hitting balls with plastic clubs in the backyard to playing in competitive tournaments, this game has shaped me into the person I am today.
This year will be my junior year at South Heart High School. The Heart River Cougars Girls Golf varsity team has been my home since my freshman year, but my desire to learn the game of golf began when I was in second grade. In the years since then, golf has become an important part of my life, and I hope to compete at the collegiate level and make it a lifelong passion.
As a freshman, my team won the regional tournament as well as the North Dakota Class B State Tournament. As a sophomore, my team won the regional tournament once again and finished second at the state tournament, and currently as a Junior my team has won the regional tournament and I am apart of the all region 5 team, by placing 3rd at regionals.
As a high school student, I have been on the honor roll every semester. Additionally, I volunteer at local youth golf clinics. As I look to the future, I am excited to continue growing and challenging myself in the game of golf. Whether it's improving my skills, competing in tournaments, or simply enjoying a leisurely round with loved ones, I know that golf will always be a source of joy, fulfillment, and personal growth in my life. Golf is not just a sport to me; it is a passion, way of life, and an integral part of who I am.
