Rachel Siefken '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Rachel Siefken and I am a 2026 graduate. I currently attend Aberdeen Central High School and am active in the Softball program my school offers. Furthermore, I play hockey for my home town Aberdeen Lady Cougars at a Varsity level, and play teams throughout the state. I’ve received many awards, some include academic all state for 2023 and 2024, and second team all state the 2023-2024 season. Additionally, I play for Team South Dakota, which is a national team. I’ve gained experience through actively participating in the u16 and tier II High School level. I’ve been playing hockey for 8 years, and unfortunately had to miss a season after experiencing an injury- tearing my ACL. Through this, I have found myself to become very driven, and hard-working to reach the next level of hockey. College is a stepping stone for me to seek the field of study I am interested in, additionally, to continuing to play the sport I love. Despite what some might call my “setbacks”, I use this toward becoming a better hockey player on and off the ice with different levels of training to move forward with my career. Academically, I strive for excellence, pushing myself to be part of the top 25 students in my class. With this, I enroll in many honors classes and AP classes.
