I picked up a stick in the Spring of 7th grade and never looked back. By the winter, I was playing in the rec league with the off-season high school varsity players as an 8th, grader and by summer I was scrimmaging college players with my new club team. Though I have played many other sports (soccer, basketball, cross country, track, swimming, golf, tennis) lacrosse is where I found my passion. It is a sport of skill, strategy and athleticism. It requires quick thinking and adaptability. I feel that unlike many other players I am willing to play anywhere on the field, I just want to be playing all the time. I feel that my utility brings significant value to the team as I am a capable player in all positions. As the team's needs change from game to game based on conditions, injuries, and other factors, my coaches know they can count on me to play where they need me. Having said that, I prefer to play at defense because I enjoy working as a unit to stop offensive plays. Beyond playing, I love to share the game with others. I have been assisting with teaching skills clinics for young girls through our community program. I also am actively refereeing games to earn extra money. I have found that refereeing has further expanded my knowledge of the game. I have a strong work ethic both on and off the field. Academically, I am 4-point plus student taking Honors and AP classes. I am looking forward to continuing both my athletic and academic career in college after high school graduation in 2023.
