Personal Statement

My name is Shannon Finney and I am a senior at Padua Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. I am involved in many activities at school which I am very passionate about. I was elected an Executive Officer on Student Council and plan schoolwide events, am a Peer Leader, am involved in campus ministry, and am in the National Honor Society. I have been a coxswain for four years and plan to continue my athletic career in college. Rowing has taught me more about myself, developing me into the person I am today. Rowing has taught me values such as patience, communication, respect, and grit. Alongside these traits, I consider myself to be diligent and optimistic. In the future, I would like to become a Physician Assistant. My interest lies in healthcare and I am passionate about my education getting me there.
