Personal Statement

As an athlete who has been playing the game of soccer for over 11 years I have learned to develop a deep love and passion for soccer and sports in general. Every time I step on the field I know that I love what I am doing and that I am prepared to give all 120% of myself to that game and my focus remains strictly on the game and proving the assistance to my team. I of course always remember that I need to have fun and enjoy what I am doing and make sure that my teammates are not getting let down and that they are also having fun on the field. I have been a starter on all the teams I have played on and I have proven that I have earned my position on the Top teams of my club and the Varsity teams in school. I had moved up 3 years to play with the 04 girls in the club because they needed help and then I ended up playing for them for the remainder of my time at the club. One of the things I love most about soccer is the way it requires both physical and mental strength. It challenges me to think strategically and creatively, while also pushing me to stay in top physical condition. I am very competitive when it comes to sports and doing the best. To me it's not always about winning the game, it's about winning in strength, competitiveness, skill, comradery, focus, mental and physical drive and strength, love of the game, the drive to be better and to grow in knowledge and skill. Soccer gives me the safe place to channel the competitiveness inside and use that drive to be productive and fulfill my promise to the team. Aside from the fact that I love to play, I love the relationships and the people that surround me and play with me. Soccer teams are family, you do everything with them, they are your battle partners. I have made countless friends and connections through the sport, and have been fortunate enough to play with some truly talented individuals who inspire me to push myself to be my best. I have loved all 11 years of soccer and I know that I will love the future years to come.I believe that my skills, passion, and dedication make me a strong candidate for any collegiate soccer program, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
