Hi coaches, thanks for taking the time to find out a little bit about me and my love for soccer. I am a 6'0 tall Goal Keeper and I have been playing since I was 4 years old. I wasn't always a Goal Keeper, but when I found myself trying the position at U/13, I fell in love with it and I haven't looked back. I will say first and foremost, at 6'0 tall I still get to the ground extremely fast! I am the most vocal player on any team I am playing with, and the leadership role that has come with playing my position is something that comes natural to me. I am very coachable, I lead by example, and I am always an encouraging teammate. I am a very hard worker, and away from my team I often put in lots of time on my own working on my skills so I can continue to improve. On many nights if the field lights are still on after practice, then I am still out there training. I am comfortable and confident with the ball at my feet, and I always look for opportunities to play balls out of the back when in possession. Of course as a GK I love to take on opponents and make saves! (Check out my videos)
Playing soccer has also given me some pretty amazing experiences. I have been lucky enough to play in two BC Coastal Soccer League Championships, and two BC Provincial Championships where our team won Gold and Silver in both competitions over back to back seasons. I was also lucky enough to go to England with my team and play against the Manchester City academy U/18 woman, and an academy from Middlesbrough.
Fun fact! I have an identical twin sister who also plays soccer. We have been playing together since the age of 4, and she is an awesome Center Back, and we are each others biggest supporters and training partners. In my spare time, I am a certified full field referee, and along with my sister I mentor young referees coming up through our club. Being an official has given me such a different perspective of the game and a better understanding of each position on the field. I also volunteer my time as an assistant Goal Keeping coach for our younger female keepers in our club. Being a role model for the younger girls is something I really love to do. My education is very important to me. Currently I am taking advanced science courses so I and continue down a path that will lead me to a career in either Veterinary care or Wildlife Conservation. I would like to find a home where I can grow as a person, a player, and achieve the goals I set for myself.
