Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Claire Neibergall. My goal is to play college soccer at the highest level possible, after I graduate from high school in 2015. Currently, I play three sports for my high school in Pleasant Plains, IL; volleyball, basketball, and soccer, which is by far my favorite.
I have been playing soccer since I was five years old and competitive soccer since I was nine. I’m currently a member of SLSG-Metro ECNL - I recently joined the SLSG-Metro club in June of 2013. I’m looking forward to the fall club season where we will participate in several elite college showcase tournaments as well as the ECNL league games. In addition, I have been selected to represent Illinois on the 2012 and 2013 state 1997 girls ODP team.
In order to play at the highest level that I can, I train year round for soccer, working individually with different college trainers, and attend several college soccer camps over the summer. I work regularly with a personal trainer on fitness and injury prevention. I also train for volleyball and basketball, which keeps me busy, organized, and in shape.
I have been told by all of my different coaches that I have a positive attitude, am very coachable, a leader on the field/court, and have a strong work ethic. I play multiple positions, wherever the coach needs me, in all three of my sports. I am also an honor roll student, which allows me to be a successful student athlete.
Thank you for taking time to read my personal statement and reviewing my profile.
