Isabelle Jacobitz '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Isabelle Jacobitz, I am born the 26th of May 1996 in Strausberg, Germany. I am 5’11’’ and weight 165lbs. I will graduate in spring 2015. Right now I attend the12th grade of the Heinitz grammar school in Rüdersdorf (close to Berlin).

Well, my story started about 10 years ago. I began to play soccer and so awoke my passion. Since that day I played almost every day. Whenever it is possible I love doing sports and especially soccer, but I also want to study law. The desire I have is being a Criminal Defense Lawyer but it is very hard to get there. I already helped in a bureau of various Criminal Defense Lawyers in Berlin for a couple of weeks, I went to court with them and I know this is what I want to do. 

Originally I am from Germany but in the summer of 2012 I first went to Costa Rica to learn Spanish and then in the beginning of 2013 I went for an exchange year to Kentucky. I absolutely love my family there and I would love to find a way to come to the states to study and to play soccer. 

Ever since I changed from a mixed team (male and females) to the women team in Berlin I was leader of the team and also won several prizes such as best player of the tournament, best scorer or best player of the game.

The time that I went to high school in the USA I was in the Basketball, Volleyball and Field and Track team. I enjoyed every second of my stay, practicing directly after school is great and it is so different to life in Germany. Whenever we played football in PE the guys were impressed and always wanted me to be the kicker. It was a great time and I miss the feeling of team spirit as I only know it from the USA.

I also played Volleyball in a professional team for 3 years and I played Handball in a team for 4 years. Besides that I was in a Track and Field team for 3 years when I was 12.

I want to become a Criminal Defense Lawyer or also Immigration Lawyer because I want to fight for others people right and I also already know German, English, Spanish and French. I am learning Italian and Portuguese in my free time. 

The dream that I have is to speak about 6 languages and be a great Lawyer. But first of all I want to play soccer because in Germany it is not possible to play any sports besides studying in college.
