Megan Pelan '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Megan Pelan, a current Junior at Brunswick High School. I have been playing soccer eleven years starting at the club level playing for PVYA, BBSL, Alliance, and MSI. In the down time of the spring and fall season, our team plays in an indoor and futsal league to stay in shape and to perfect footwork.  As a freshman in high school, I played starting midfielder scoring eleven goals for the season.  As a sophomore,  I started playing Varsity soccer as starting center defender. I have played all positions including goalie, even in club. I prefer a defensive position because I love holding the responsibility of protecting the goalie and the rush of being the in the back of the field watching the game. I consider myself as a team leader because I am always looking for a way to improve ourselves. I never let a player intimidate me, and am hard to take a loss of a battle. I hope to continue playing soccer in college as would also like to study animal science.

Academically, I am currently enrolled in AP and Honors courses. My current weighted GPA is a 3.9/4.0 and am in the top 30 rank of my graduating class. I plan to take my first round of SAT Testing in spring 2017. Aside from playing soccer, I spend my time working on our family farm raising beef cattle and pigs.
