I have two passions in this world, one has always been to pursue a career in medicine as a Neuro-surgeon. And the other has been to play soccer at a collegiate level. Both of these challenging, yet, riveting passions have been the foundation for everything that I do and the reasoning for why I work so hard. I strive for the best, in the classroom as well as on the field; two different parallels might I add, but one never held higher than the other. And because of this, I believe I have accumulated all the ingredients that have made me successful on and off the field. Those being: leadership, integrity, hard work, and positive character. When I put my mind to something, it is very rare that I don't achieve what I set out to do.
I have always been a very hard worker as well as very resilient in times of hardship. I feel as though my ability to persevere through any situation I am faced with, is something that makes me unique. I am dedicated, driven, and always up for a challenge. I love setting goals for myself and working hard to achieve each one. However, I especially love when the people on my team or anyone around me, in general, are also achieving their goals and striving for the best. I love being apart of a team and getting to see the dedication that is always displayed on the field. Whether we win or lose, it's always a privilege to be apart of. I would love to have the opportunity, to continue playing a game I have grown to wholeheartedly love, even though at times it's challenging somehow that makes it all the more worthwhile.
One of my first ever soccer coaches told me that, "everything that presents a challenge is always worth fighting for. No matter the obstacles and the hurdles put in place, there is always a way to get past them." And with that, I'm excited to begin this journey and continue leaping full force past those barriers!
