Ashley Haynes '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashley Haynes and I am a 2025 graduate attending Timber Creek Regional High School in NJ. I'm writing this personal statement as a passionate and dedicated soccer player eager to take my skills to the next level. Soccer has been an integral part of my life since the age of 4 years old , and I believe that my experiences, both on and off the field, have prepared me to make a meaningful contribution to your college soccer program. I have been given the gracious opportunities to play as a Left Midfielder and Left Defense on not only my Varsity High School Team, but also competing at the EDP level and notable, Guyana Football Federation U15 and U17 Women's National Teams. I have been called up for U15 and U17 tournaments within 2022 and 2023.

As a student-athlete, I understand the importance of time management, discipline, perseverance, commitment, and maintaining a strong academic standing alongside my athletic pursuits. My collegiate aspirations are to attend a top tier university that provides both a good architectural program and soccer organization to help develop my athletic talent. What sets me apart as a recruit is my unwavering commitment to self-improvement. I recognize that my journey as a soccer player is far from over and that there is always room for growth and development. I am willing to put in the extra hours on and off the field to become the best player I can be. 

Dedication and hard work follow me throughout my life whether that be my tenacious drive in making my dreams a reality or striving for success in the classroom with my 4.1 GPA and leadership positions. I understand that a college education is a unique opportunity to broaden my horizons and further my personal growth therefore, I am committed to excelling in my studies and balancing them with my soccer commitments.
