Hi! My name is Olivia Jirles. I have been playing soccer for 10 years. I started playing recreational soccer in Tigard, Oregon when I was 5 years old. At the age of 7, I was recruited to play competitively with Southside Soccer Club. From the first touch on the ball, I have become connected to the game of soccer. My dreams have gone from playing games, to playing for a competitive club team, to playing high school soccer at the varsity level. After working hard to accomplish those, my next dream is to play college soccer.
I have quick feet and exceptional passing skills. Those, along with my corners, lead to great scoring opportunities. In addition to my skills on the field I lead my team off the field as well. I try to set good examples and include people, so everyone feels at home with our team. I try to keep things positive and encourage everyone both on and off the field. I am a very coachable person because I know that is how I will grow as a team player and as an individual.
I am constantly working hard both inside and outside the classroom to improve my GPA. I strive to attend a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I typically play the 6 as a defensive midfielder. Although I am a versatile player who can play in many spots on the field, most often the 8 as an attacking midfielder. I hope to play at the highest level possible that will help positively impact me and give me a chance to have a positive impact on the team and school as a whole.
