*** COMMITTED **
Hi, my name is Hannah Beckett. I am currently a senior in high school. My primary positions are goal keeper, outside midfield and wide forward. My collegiate goals are pursuing higher education and being a part of a good college program that will afford me the opportunity to play soccer.
When I first started soccer at the age of 10, I played for the local AYSO team. During my last season of U-12 I learned what it is like to lose and how to build from losses. That season we lost every single game. The next season with my U-14 co-ed team, we made it to the championship of the Antietam Cup. The next season with that team, we made it to the championship again, and won against the team who beat us the year prior.
Currently with my soccer career, I play with the Hagerstown Freedom 01 under Terry Mutchler.
My strong points as an outside midfielder and attacker are I have a deep understanding of the game and what it takes to help my team score points. I also study the game by attending soccer games and I attend clinics such as AKFC, run by Ali Krieger. Which both give me a realistic view of the game.
Recently, I have become a utility player for my team and have taken a position in goal. I have played goal prior to this and it has always been my favorite spot to play.
My strong points as a keeper are that I am able to read attackers very well since I used to be one, I have strong goal kicks and punts, and I am able to make crucial saves to keep a game alive.
I believe that academics and sports are very important, so I take very vigorous courses, including AP and community college courses. I also strive to find a soccer team with a passion for the sport because without a drive to play, there is no game. I believe strongly that soccer and academics will lead me to success in my life. Thank you so much for considering me by reading this.
