Savanna Mackie '24 Recruiting Profile

My coach once asked me, "Some people are hungry for success and others are hungry to do what it takes to be successful. Which person are you?" My search for the right college includes all aspects of life including, academics, the faculty, student-life, expenses, distance from home, and of course finding the right team for soccer. I'm looking for a team that will work towards making each other better whether that be on the field or during class. I need an atmosphere that is filled with positive staff and teamates. While, I know this is what most player candidate are looking for, I know I have what it takes to add to that positive atmosphere. I'm not blind to rejection, I'm always up for a challenge and ready to fix my mistakes, I'm coachable, and I'm reliable. Skills are constantly being built but attitude is hard to change. My team won the sportsmanship award last year and when I'm captain, my senior year, I plan to win it again. I am hungry to do what it takes to be successful. I need a team that is just as hungry.

Academically, I've taken almost all honors classes, I'm taking two AP classes this year and plan to take at least two more next year. I've been a part of Varsity club and Key Club since freshman year. This past year I took the role of Editor for Key Club and next year I plan on running for Vice President. I was also class historian. While soccer is one of my main priorities, school is just as important. I need to be in an environment where I can be academically challenged.
