Ruthie Sorke '19 Recruiting Profile

I have dreamed of playing college soccer for as long as I can remember.  My ultimate goal is to get my degree and play college soccer.

I started playing soccer when I was 6 years old in AYSO and have played middle school and club soccer. My clubs have been FC Alliance in Knoxville TN, Lakeway Soccer Club in Morristown TN, and USA North in Knoxville TN.

I am a Senior at Claiborne High School in New Tazewell, TN. I am a four-year starter and scored 46 goals and 51 assists in my career. I played every midfield and forward position, left back, and took corners, and free kicks including penalty kicks. 

I think my versatility on the field is my biggest strength. I have played all over the field in club and in high school so far. I can use both feet and can play on either side. I am most comfortable playing in the center of the field or on the left side.

I love being part of a team and do all I can to be there to support all my team mates.

My current GPA is 3.78 and ranked 26th in my class. I have a 23 on my ACT with a sum of 91. My academic goals are to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and graduate with honors.

I am currently undecided on my major.
