Hi, I hope you guys are doing well. My name is Julisa, but most of my friends call me Julie or JuJu. I am Hispanic. I attended L.V Berkner High School. I am currently a freshman playing junior college soccer. I am a starter center-back and also the captain of the team. I am a good candidate because I have great potential. I strive to perform better every day no matter what is going on. I am a cheerful person, and it is very good to have someone like that in your team. I am the type of person that will cheer my teammates. I got the heart award last year. I hope this does not take you by surprise. I am also Muslim. I recently started wearing a hijab. Although I might get negative comments, I do not let that get in my head. Matter of fact, I take it as a compliment to work better on myself and just show them what I am capable of doing. I am such an excellent student. I always managed to keep my grades up in the 95's. I do not like settling for less. I am a student-athlete and that to me means that I am a student first before I am an athlete. Grades are important. I also starting working at the age of 16 years old just to help my single mother out. I believe that shows a lot of my character. Right now, I am trying to finish my basics. I want to continue playing soccer after I finish my basics. I will be graduating junior college in 2023.
