Dear Coaches, my name is Nassima Jarif I am a 16-year-old, and a rising junior at West Springfield High School in Springfield, Virginia. My goal is to graduate high school and hopefully attend a college with both medical programs and a D1 soccer program that will allow me to continue to expand my education and love for the sport. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old, and joined a club at the age of 9. I am self-motivated, dedicated, very coachable, and easy to work with. I am also very competitive and love to win. Although you don't always win every match, what I realized I am very well at is taking that loss and using it to motivate myself to fix my mistakes at training to execute it better during games. Aside from athletics, I am also very competitive in my academics as well. Education is something that I have to put first, despite my love for soccer, but it is also one of the greatest privileges a person can experience in life and I plan on making the most out of what is available to me. Furthermore, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA since my freshman year, so grades wont be a problem for any future coaches of mine. Soccer is a sport that not only I grew up with, but also my father. It is a part of our culture, and he grew up playing it back home in the streets of Morocco. Playing out of the country is a whole new level of technicality and skill that I have learned from not only him but watching the sport on tv growing up. One of my goals not only for myself but also for my family is to one day play under the spotlights with a D1 college and hopefully, play for the USWNT or Moroccan Women's National Team. Soccer is a sport that has given me friendships and taught me lessons that will stick with me as I grow and develop throughout life.
