Personal Statement
My name is Shea McIlmail. I was born in Guatemala in 2004 and adopted by my parents Daniel McIlmail and Joy Mumford. I have one younger sister (also of Guatemalan birth) and we live in Tacoma, Washington. Through soccer I have improved my on-field and leadership skills.
I have been the captain of the Washington Premier Elite Clubs National ‘04 team for four years. I was named varsity’s Top Defensive Player and varsity’s Most Valuable Player by my teammates at Bellarmine Preparatory High School during my sophomore season before transferring to Stadium High School.
I am a senior at Stadium High School and take dual credit courses through the Running Start program at Tacoma Community College. My GPA is a 3.7, and I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
