Personal Statement
Hi my name is Kelly DeRosa. I am from Connecticut and swim breaststroke for Lauralton Hall. I train as a part of the breaststroke core of my team: 2016-17: SCC qualifier and State Conference alternate in the 100 breaststroke, SCC and M Class State Championship 2nd place, 2017-18: SCC and State Conference qualifier in the 100 breaststroke, 2017-18 M Class State Champions, SCC 2nd place,2018-19: SCC and State Conference qualifier in the 100 breaststroke, SCC and S Class State Championship 2nd place. On top of swim I am heavily involved in many academic organizations such as Youth and Government, Varsity Debate, Latin National Honors Society, the American Legion Oratorical Contest, and I am also the Vice President of my class. I take academics very seriously and my grades tend to be better during my high school swim season. I enjoy the structure and comradery that swimming provides in my life.
