Tennis has been a consistent and important part of my life since I was six years old. I come from a family of tennis players (parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins). I’ve been a regular tournament player since age 10, playing 90+ USTA singles matches and 70+ doubles matches a year. I love to compete and look forward to tournament weekends. My closest friends are fellow tennis players who I train and compete against. We train hard and play hard but love to have fun together too. I look forward to being part of a program with a strong team culture and great team spirit!
I am not just a singles player but an equally strong doubles player. I am known as a good friend, great partner, and always an honest sportswoman whose opponents know will be fair and respectful on the court. I was recently voted by peers for Best Sportsmanship at the 18U New England Sectional Championships, an award that I feel proud to have won. My team won Sectionals and represented New England at Nationals in October 2022.
One of the natural struggles of a student athlete is balancing academics and the athletics. However, this has never been a problem for me. Organization and time management are strengths of mine. With training 5-6 days a week and traveling to tournaments on the weekends, I have found ways to put equal focus into school and tennis so that I continue to maintain straight A’s while my tennis continues to grow and improve. Tennis has always been a big part of my life that fills me with passion on and off the court. I look forward to finding a college program that appreciates my well-rounded capabilities and one that I can contribute my team spirit, hard work, and positive attitude.
