Chloe Heller '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello!  My name is Chloe Heller and I am currently a junior at Ramapo High School located in Bergen County, New Jersey.  

I am an extremely motivated and dedicated student and tennis player. I enjoy setting goals for myself both on the court and in the classroom, and feel so much pride when I accomplish following through on the steps necessary to achieve my goals.  I have a growth mindset and consider myself a very resilient person who has been able to recognize how even my setbacks have often led to my future accomplishments.   

My private coach as well as all other coaches I have taken lessons with in specialized clinics, consistently say how impressed they are with my work ethic and that my focus and determination to improve is of the highest degree. All of them comment how much they enjoy working with me because of how coachable I am. I love working on new techniques and improving my game strategy.  The mental aspect of tennis is something I continue to work on as well, and take that part of the game quite seriously.  I pride myself on being supportive not only of my own mental and physical growth but love supporting my fellow team players and cheering them on.  Being part of my high school tennis team is one of my greatest moments I have had so far during my high school years.  

So far this season I have achieved a great personal success of coming in first place in the Bergen County Tournament but even more exciting than my personal win, was that my strong playing during this tournament greatly supported my team to also win the Championships.   

I also enjoy helping others less fortunate than me and commit myself to volunteering and job opportunities that I care about such as teaching tennis to young children and volunteering to teach tennis to adults with special needs. I also volunteer by tutoring low-income children in an after school program. 

I have had success in my academics and tennis through hard work and I look forward to college life and doing the same there.  My aspirations to play tennis at the college level is something that I strongly desire as not only do I truly love playing the game of tennis, but it is when I am on the court that I find myself most in sync with myself.
