My name is Riley Webb, and I am attending Louisville Collegiate School in Kentucky. I am a member of the Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Indoor Track, and Varsity Outdoor Track teams. Since Freshman year, I have competed in XC state, and I am currently ranked 2nd in state for the 400m (2024 Indoor Track), and 5th in state for the 400m (2023 Outdoor Track). Participating in Cross Country and Track and Field is a strong passion of mine, as I spend almost every day of the year training and competing alongside my teammates. Running is what keeps me motivated and inspired. It is a sport that is both physically and mentally challenging, yet my drive and consistent training habits have continued to fuel my success. I am constantly chasing goals and setting new PRs for myself. I also love the side of running that often goes unseen by coaches, the training. Everyday, I work to show up for my teammates with a positive mindset. Rain, snow, or sunshine, we are always lifting each other up and striving for greatness -- that is what makes running so enjoyable for me.
Not only am I a dedicated athlete, but I am a competitive student as well. I hold a 4.17/4.0 GPA and am the president and founder of my school's literary/arts magazine, as well as a leader in 7+ other student clubs. I received the 10th Grade English Award, Seal of Biliteracy, am a KWLA (Kentucky World Language Association) award winner (1st place, advanced), and in the National English Honors Society. I play guitar and participate in 4+ performances each year. I am also a school ambassador, and a leader for the nonprofit programs: LGL (Louisville Girls Leadership), Ingles Sin Dolor, and so much more. I am constantly involved in the various clubs, events, and and competitions that my school offers. I strongly value the importance of a flourishing, close-knit community.
I cannot image a future for myself without running in it. I believe my passions both in the classroom and on the track will be significant assets to my athletic career.
