I discovered my passion for running when I started my track career in 6th grade. The COVID pandemic forced me to take a year-long break from running, and this experience made me truly appreciate the importance running is in my life. My academic achievement, my participation in extracurricular activities and my success in sports, reflects the amount of effort that I put into being a hard-worker. I currently maintain a GPA of 3.6 as a junior in High School. I am dedicated to investing the necessary time and effort to become one of the best. I am highly focused and driven to achieve my goals both on and off the track.
I prioritize my life with faith, family, academics and track. I am eager to attend a college where I can make a meaningful difference with all four. My goal is to obtain a degree in coaching and pursue my dreams of running on a competitive collegiate team.
When people first meet me, they often notice how quiet I am. I prefer to take a step back and observe in order to gain a better understanding and learn from the techniques that the coaches may have to offer me. I am willing to put in extra work on my own and I am open to receiving guidance from coaches to enhance my skills. I am open to asking questions anytime I don't understand something, and I am willing to learn as much as possible from coaches, staff, and peers.
I feel incredibly privileged to have this platform to receive encouragement from exceptional coaches who can sets goals for me. I constantly set new goals to challenge myself as well; I had set a personal goal for myself to break into the 13s in the 100M before the end of my 6th grade year. I am proud to say that I accomplished this goal during the All Star Conference that year. My new goal for my 11th grade season is to break the into the 12s. I know I will continually challenge my own limits and strive to achieve new goals for myself.
I am filled with excitement as I look forward to what awaits me in my 11th grade year in track and field and I am eager to see what the future holds for me in this sport. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I welcome any comments and future emails to communicate.
