Ava Thompson '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ava Thompson and I am from Byng, Oklahoma. My freshman year was my first year running and I immediately fell in love with the sport. I learned fairly quickly about how important mentality was to this sport and now it is a goal of mine everyday to see how far I can push my mental toughness. With that my first year running I placed 5th in the state cross country meet and have earned Allstate honors both freshman and sophomore year.In college I hope to continue to get better and be an important asset to the team. I believe that I am a good teammate because I like to be pushed by others and help to push others reach their goals.  My academics and sports have always been a big and important part of my life, and I  always strive to try my best and put the best I can out there
