2021 Highlights Personal Statement
Hi, I’m Kali Larson and I have been playing volleyball since I was seven years old. Volleyball was basiclly my destiny. I was born into a volleyball family, with both of my parents playing, coaching and owning their own club. I am a very serious student athlete and want to continue to play at a high level of volleyball. My main position is a libero but for high school I train as a setter as well. I have always been told that I have soft hands and I should be a setter but I never really listened, until my high school coach started to train me in setting. I never realized how hard setting was until I actually did it. I am a junior in high school and have a 3.9 GPA. I have many academic goals and hope to pursue them. I want to major in Nursing in college so I must set high goals for myself. One of my favorite quotes that I think represents me and my mindset pretty well is, “You have to expect thing from yourself before you can do them.” -Michael Jordan
