Personal Statement
Throughout my years playing volleyball, winning the 2017 Conference Championship in San Francisco in my first year on Varsity was the most memorable experience in my career so far. Through this team, I have grown as an athlete and student. I truly understood that a successful team requires every player to be fully focussed, hardworking and passionate to achieve a common goal.
I always knew I desired to play my favorite sport at a high level. I explored multiple sports such as soccer, basketball and volleyball. However, I was ultimately drawn to volleyball. I have been fortunate enough to play volleyball since third grade and competitively since the sixth grade at clubs that qualify for the Girls’ Junior National Championships. My first season on a club team allowed me to discover and achieve a balance between school and volleyball at a young age.
Now, I am still managing my priorities, such as taking care of my siblings, school and volleyball. I am confident that I have the talent, charisma and leadership it takes to make an impact on any team. This leads me to firmly believe that I am capable of playing at a college level. As I begin to explore my college options, I am looking for a program that will be a strong match for me academically and athletically.
