I like to work toward tangible/measurable short term and long term goals; whether they are for volleyball, school, or piano. I am organized with my time which helps me to focus on the steps involved to attaining my goals.
My personal goal for volleyball this club season is to out work all of my other team mates. I just started one on one training outside of club to work on technical passing, speed, core, and increasing my vertical. I think these things will help me achieve my goal.
My goal for school this year is to pass all of my classes with A’s or B’s. I am a Sophomore in High School and am in my 2nd semester at Red Rocks Community College as a Concurrent Enrollment Student. I have been homeschooled my entire school career and participate in a homeschool co-op where I take core and elective classes. I will graduate High School at 16 with an Associates Degree.
My goal for piano is to increase the dynamic volume in my left hand. I have been playing piano for about seven years. I like to play classical and contemporary music and dabble in making up my own. I participate in Achievement Day at CU in Boulder to test my ability and meet my goals. This year and last year I earned a “Super Achiever” medal in this program. I also competed in a National Piano Guild and earned an honorary plaque and a picture of me was published in a magazine. I have also played in nursing homes and at the Flatirons Mall for Christmas.
