My name is Carly Szymanski and I’m a DS and Libero. Throughout my years of volleyball, my abilities have grown, as well for my passion for the game of volleyball. Volleyball was not the first sport I played, but it was a sport I found and fell in love with. Playing volleyball has led me to be the person I am today. I have grown in my leadership skills and I am an all around team player. My experience with team-oriented sports has helped me to become a more coachable and open minded player. My position has changed throughout the years but that has helped me to adapt to wherever I’m placed on the court and learn how to play well. To me playing volleyball means being part of something bigger than myself. I believe that my motivation, confidence, and competitiveness has set me apart from others. I want not only to win but to build up my physical and mental strength. I value strong relationships with my teammates and coaches. I believe that whatever atmosphere you surround yourself with affects how you play individually and how the team plays together. Along with my efforts on the court, I always put my education first. I am focused on my schoolwork and on the court. I hope to play volleyball and pursue an education in a medical related field at a school that best fits me.
