Nithya Mullapudi '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi everyone! First, I would like to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Nithya Mullapudi, and I have been playing competitive volleyball for two years now. I first started playing in a recreational volleyball league when I was in fourth grade.  The minute I started playing in fourth grade, the minute I touched that ball, I fell in love with the sport. I fell in love with every  bruise and scrape that came on the way. I fell in love with the satisfaction, a ace, a dig, and kill gave me.I fell in love with my teammates and the coaches who made my passion for the sport burn even more.  I want to play in college because of my ambition and passion for this sport. I think something that separates me from other players is my drive of determination and competitiveness. I will stop at nothing to perfect my ability to hit a ball even better, to adjust, and to help my team. I put in that hard work when no one is watching by taking private lessons and working on my strength and conditioning at home, which help me a lot in games! I try to get everyone motivated, encouraged and ready to give their 110% everyday at practice and at games because everyone has to want it, if we want to win. In my athletic ability, something that separates me is my height, as I'm only 5'8" ,  but I've never seen that as a downside, as it gives me the opportunity to work hard to improve myself and improve my game both defensive and offensive wise. In academics, I strive to always do my best as education takes you far in  life. My weighted GPA as of now is a 4.2, which puts me in the top 10-20% at my high school. Not only in volleyball and school, I also do student council, key club, FCCLA, and I am one of the lead volunteers at Learn to Write Now.  When I go to college, my goals are to graduate with a degree, make the most out of my college career and use the resources that are provided to me to improve myself.
